Just about forty-eight hours before his demise, I went to the Imam’s bedside. I felt that the Imam’s condition was rapidly worsening and he was suffering intensely from pain. In that condition, he stated: “The pain is troubling me too much.” One or two of the specialist physicians and surgeons told me that the blood was rapidly contaminating. According to all the close relatives and physicians, the Imam reacted to pain by means of invoking the Name of God and silent mentioning of the Patron Imam Ali (PBUH).
